We offer adult and junior roller derby programs, roller skate events, and training opportunities. Our mission is to promote fun, fitness, and inclusivity through the exciting sport of roller derby.

  • How do I join Albany Roller Derby League in the Great Southern?

    If you're in Albany or the Great Southern region, you can join our roller derby league through our beginner programs. No roller skating experience is needed! We run annual skate programs and roller derby intakes. Contact us for upcoming opportunities.

  • Do I need experience to roller skate or play roller derby in Albany?

    Not at all! Albany Roller Derby League welcomes new skaters with or without experience. We’ll teach you how to roller skate safely and build your skills to play roller derby confidently.

  • What age groups can roller skate or play roller derby with ARDL?

    Albany Roller Derby League has roller skating programs for juniors aged 8–17 and adults 18+. Our junior league offers safe, fun, modified-contact roller derby in Albany, while adults can train for full-contact games. We also welcome volunteers, referees and non-skating roles for people of all ages.

  • Where does Albany Roller Derby League train and compete?

    We train at the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre and host roller derby games and roller skate events right here in Albany. Our league also competes across Western Australia and Australia and we’re proud to host visiting teams and officials throughout the year.

  • Can I volunteer or become a roller derby official in Albany?

    Yes! Albany Roller Derby League is always looking for volunteers and officials from Albany and the Great Southern region. Whether you want to help track scores, referee, or coach, we provide training and support. It’s a great way to be part of the roller derby action.
